Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Nafi', in the chapter on repeating prayer with the imam: a man asked Abdullah ibn Umar whether, if he prayed at home and then caught the prayer with the imam, he should pray with him. Ibn Umar said yes. The man asked which of the two prayers counted. Ibn Umar said: "Is that up to you? It is up to God, who makes whichever He wills". The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Yahya ibn Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it. 1 2
