Summary
A report that Yahya transmits from Malik from Nafi', in the chapter on the tashahhud in prayer: Abdullah ibn Umar recited a formula beginning with the basmala, then "all greetings belong to God, the prayers and the good", said it in the first two rak'as, and after them made whatever supplication he wished. At the end of prayer he recited it again and then supplicated. When he wanted to finish he said, "Peace upon the Prophet ﷺ and God's mercy and blessings, peace upon us and upon the righteous servants of God, peace upon you", to his right, then returned the salam to the imam, and if someone gave salam to him on his left, he returned it. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan and Yahya ibn Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it. 1 2
