Summary
A raid the Prophet sent in Safar of year 9 AH under Qutba ibn Amir ibn Hadida al-Ansari, to a clan of Khath'am in the region of Tabala near Turbah 1.
The raid
Qutba set out with twenty men on ten camels ridden in turns; he launched the raid and they fought hard until the wounded grew many on both sides — Qutba killed whom he killed — and the Muslims drove the cattle, women and sheep back to Medina 1.
For young visitors
Qutba — one of the early Ansar — led a small detachment, half riding camels and half walking in turns; they fought hard in the south of the peninsula and returned to Medina.
