Overview
After the fall of Baghdad to the Tatars and the end of the caliphate's rule there, and the rise of the Hafsid call in Ifriqiya, the sharif of Mecca Abu Numayy and his brother Idris agreed to give their allegiance to al-Mustansir al-Hafsi. The people of Mecca gave the sermon for him in the pilgrimage season. 1
The role of Ibn Sab'in
Ibn Khaldun says that the Sufi jurist Ibn Sab'in, who was living next to the Sanctuary, took part with the two sharifs in the matter. He dictated the letter of allegiance and wrote it in his own hand. 1
Result of the allegiance
According to the source, the Sanctuary entered the Hafsid call. 1
