Events
He sent his brother Abu Talib ibn Sab'in as an agent of Ibn Hud to address the Christian bishop of Rome, when the Christian tyrant broke faith with him. He also composed the letter of allegiance of the people of Mecca to the Hafsid sultan al-Mustansir, in which he indicated that al-Mustansir is the Mahdi who was announced. 2
