    Summary

Mu'in al-Din Ibn Bundar, shaykh al-Islam and benefactor of the madhhab, studied under Ibn al-Salah and spent his nights composing and teaching. Through his blessing the madhhab was set down in writing, and he deposited within it compositions and fatwas equal to it and more — what remains scattered of them is little. He bore the students' vexations patiently, and the teaching of Syria in his day came to rest with him. 1
