Overview

Aparwiz, the marzban of Zaranj. He sent to al-Rabi' ibn Ziyad asking for safe conduct in order to make peace. Al-Rabi' had him sit on a corpse, reclined on another himself, and seated his companions on the bodies of the slain. This frightened him, and he made peace with al-Rabi' for a thousand slave-boys, each with a golden goblet. 1
