Summary
A woman of Kinda for whom a marriage contract was concluded with the Prophet though he never consummated it; the biographers differ on her name and the details of her story 1.
Her account
Al-Rahiq al-Makhtum states the Prophet contracted marriage with thirteen women, consummated with eleven; of the two he did not consummate with, one was of Banu Kilab and the other of Kinda — she being the one known as al-Jawniyya 1. The source's wording affirms the disagreements around her: "and there are differences that need no expounding" 1.
For young visitors
Among the Prophet's wives by contract was a woman of the tribe of Kinda known as al-Jawniyya, but the marriage ended before consummation.
