Al-Harith ibn al-Harith ibn Kalada

الحارث بن الحارث بن كلدة

Of Thaqif; Ibn Abd al-Barr counts him among those whose hearts were won over (al-mu'allafa qulubuhum) and says his father's conversion is not sound, a point Ibn Hajar answers in the entry on the father, al-Harith ibn Kalada.

Overview

Al-Harith ibn al-Harith ibn Kalda ibn Amr ibn Ilaj al-Thaqafi. 1 Ibn Abd al-Barr says he was among "those whose hearts are to be reconciled". 1 As for his father, his Islam is not sound in Ibn Abd al-Barr's view. Ibn Hajar says the reply to this will come in the entry on al-Harith ibn Kalda. 1

Notes for researchers

  • The entry in the Isaba is brief. We do not add to it until we have read his father's entry and checked the disagreement over his Islam.
