What is reported of him

Al-Shirazi quotes Muslim ibn Yasar as saying: "If Abu Qilaba had been a non-Arab, he would have been the chief of chiefs of the Magians." He also relates that Abu Qilaba attended Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz and asked them about the qasama. 2

Date of death

The date is disputed: the source gives two possible years, 106 or 107 AH, so it is recorded here with low confidence. It needs an additional source.
