Summary
Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Abi Habiba, who said to a man who was then young: what is wrong with a man saying 'a walk to the House of God is upon me', without saying 'a vow of walking is upon me'? A man gave him a trivial thing to say 'a walk to the House of God is upon me', and he did so; then he came to his senses and was told: you owe a walk. He asked Said ibn al-Musayyab, who said: a walk is owed by you, and he walked. Malik said: this is the matter among us. The editor notes that Ibn al-Qasim said Malik denied the reports about walking to Quba. 1
