«وإنما يعمل الرجل ما دام حياً، فإذا مات فقد انقضى عمله»

Summary
A saying of Malik: a man acts only as long as he lives; when he dies his deeds are over. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1049) transmitted it from Malik, and that the copy M reads 'the work' instead of 'his deeds', which is not so in the copies. 1
