Summary
Malik was asked: a man in ihram is forced to eat carrion; should he hunt game and eat it, or eat the carrion? He said: rather he eats the carrion, because God did not grant the one in ihram a dispensation to eat game, nor to hunt it in any circumstance, while He granted a dispensation for carrion in cases of necessity. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1150) and Suwayd (578) transmitted it from Malik. 1
