Summary
A saying transmitted by Yahya from Malik: the best that was heard about one who kills game and is judged for it is that the game he killed is valued, and its worth in food is calculated; he feeds each needy person a mudd, or fasts one day in place of every mudd; and he calculates the number of the needy: if they are ten he fasts ten days, if twenty he fasts twenty days, counting them however many they are, even if they are more than sixty needy people. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1158) transmitted it from Malik. 1
