Summary
A saying transmitted by Yahya from Malik: if people fast on the day of breaking the fast, thinking it is Ramadan, and then it is established that the new moon of Ramadan was seen a day before they fasted, so that their day was the thirty-first, they break the fast that day at whatever hour the news reaches them; but they do not pray the feast prayer if the news reaches them after midday. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
