Summary
Malik said of a man who owes a killing and commits a prescribed punishment: he is not taken for it, because killing covers all of that, except slander, which remains due against the one who was slandered. I think the victim should be flogged the prescribed punishment before he is killed, and then killed. I do not think retaliation is to be taken from him for any wound except killing, because killing covers all of that. 1
