Summary
Malik said of a child with no property, or a woman with no property, if one of them commits an offence less than a third: the child or woman is liable only from his or her own property; if they have property it is taken from it, and otherwise the offence of each is a debt on them, and the kin owe nothing of it. The child's father is not held liable for the child's offence. 1
