Summary
Malik transmits from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ata ibn Yasar, that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about al-ghubayra, and he said: there is no good in it, and forbade it. Malik said: I asked Zayd ibn Aslam what al-ghubayra is, and he said: it is the intoxicant. The editor notes that the report is mursal in the Muwatta, and Ibn Abd al-Barr traced it connected from Ibn Wahb from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata from Ibn Abbas. 1
