Summary
Malik transmits from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with him) ibn Hazm, from Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, that Aisha went out to Mecca with two of her freed women and a slave of the sons of Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr. She sent a striped cloak with the two women, stitched with a green patch. The slave took the cloak, opened it, took out the cloak and put in its place a felt or a fleece, and sewed it up. When the two women came back to Medina they handed it to its people, who found the felt and not the cloak. The two women complained to Aisha and suspected the slave, who confessed. Aisha ordered his hand cut off, and said: the cutting is for a quarter of a dinar or more. 1
