Summary
Malik said: if a man buys a garment with a defect from burning or damage, and the seller claims he did not know of it, and the buyer has already cut or dyed the garment: the buyer has the choice. If he wishes, he has the amount the burn or damage reduced the price of the garment removed from him; if he wishes, he pays the amount the cutting or dyeing reduced the price, and returns the garment. If the buyer dyed the garment with a dye that increases its price, the buyer has the choice: if he wishes, he has the amount the defect reduced the price removed; if he wishes, he becomes a partner with the seller in the garment. 1
