Summary
Yahya said: I heard Malik say of someone who hands a cloth to a dyer to dye, and he dyes it, and the owner of the cloth says: I did not order this dye; the dyer says: rather you ordered it. The dyer is believed in this, and the tailor and the goldsmith likewise, and they swear to it, unless they bring a matter that is not used in the like, in which case their word is not accepted in that. The owner of the cloth swears; if he refuses and declines to swear, the dyer swears. 1
