Summary
Malik says: this is the argument: if a man frees his slave, then a man comes seeking the master of the slave for a debt owed to him, and a man and two women testify to his right, that establishes the right against the master of the slave until his manumission is undone by it, if the master has no property other than the slave. He wants to permit the testimony of women in manumission, but that is not as he says. Rather, it is like a man who frees his slave, and then a claimant comes against his master with one witness, swears with his witness, receives his right, and by that the manumission of the slave is undone. 1
