Malik transmits that he asked Ibn Shihab about renting out farmland; Salim ibn Abdallah said there is no harm in it, for gold and silver. Ibn Shihab said: I said to him: have you seen the report told about Rafi ibn Khadij? He said: Rafi said too much; if I had a farm, I would rent it out. 1
