Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab that Umm Hakim bint al-Harith ibn Hisham (may God be pleased with him), who had been married to Ikrima ibn Abi Jahl (may God be pleased with him), embraced Islam on the day of the Conquest, while Ikrima fled from Islam until he reached Yemen. Umm Hakim travelled and came to him in Yemen and invited him to Islam, and he embraced it. He came to the Messenger in the year of the Conquest, and when the Messenger saw him he welcomed him joyfully and accepted his allegiance, and the two remained in their marriage. 1
