Summary
The first hadith in the chapter on practice in the congregational prayer. Yahya transmits from Malik from Amir ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr from Amr ibn Sulaym al-Zuraqi from Abu Qatada al-Ansari: the Prophet ﷺ prayed carrying Umama, the daughter of Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of God, whose father was Abu al-As ibn al-Rabi'. When he prostrated, he set her down, and when he stood, he picked her up. The editor notes that Yahya named Abu al-As as "son of Rabi'a", a slip followed by Ibn Wahb, al-Qa'nabi and others, while the correct name is "al-Rabi'", as in Abu Mus'ab, Ma'n and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan. He cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa'i, al-Darimi and Ahmad, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
