Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Sadaqa ibn Yasar from al-Mughira ibn Hakim, in the chapter on sitting in prayer: he saw Abdullah ibn Umar sit between the two prostrations on the balls of his feet. When Ibn Umar finished, he was asked about it, and said this is not the sunna of prayer, but he does it because he is ailing. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Abd al-Razzaq and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it, that this is the only report of Sadaqa ibn Yasar in the Muwatta, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1
