Summary
A saying of Malik transmitted by Yahya in the chapter on dry ablution: whoever stands for prayer, finds no water, and does what God commanded by dry ablution, has obeyed God. He is no more pure or complete in prayer than the one who found water, because both were commanded and each acted on what God commanded. Ablution is for whoever finds water and dry ablution for whoever did not find it before entering the prayer. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it from Malik. 1
