Summary
A report of al-Bara' ibn Azib in the chapter on the virtues of Hassan ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him) in Sahih Muslim: the Prophet ﷺ permitted Hassan to satirise the polytheists with Gabriel's support. It is the poetry that defended the message, and among it is Hassan's pulpit in the mosque. 1
