Overview
The Adudi Bimaristan in Baghdad, the hospital built by the Buyid Adud al-Dawla; it was opened at the beginning of Rabi II 372 AH. 1
Staff and fabric
Everything needed for its work was spent on it. Physicians, medicines, stewards, servants, vessels and clothing, and all that the sick require, were gathered there. Endowments were set for those who stayed in it from among its people, and their care was made good; the poor were given the clothing and vessels that left it. 2
Not yet covered here
An additional source is still needed: its exact site in Baghdad, and the names of the physicians who served it, such as Ibn Hamdun and Ibn Qaraj.
