Overview
The Marwanid state of the Kurds in Diyar Bakr, after the Hamdanids. Ibn Khaldun makes clear that they were not Arabs. 1
Founding
It was founded by Bad al-Kurdi, al-Husayn ibn Dushak, who overcame Amid and Diyar Bakr. Then after him arose Abu Ali ibn Marwan, his sister's son, who took the fortress of Kifa and held Diyar Bakr in order. 1

The rule of his sons extended until their affair died out with the rise of the Seljuk states. 1
