Overview

Sabur is a city in Fars. Al-Baladhuri mentions that Uthman ibn Abi al-As (may God be pleased with him) arrived there in the year 23 AH, or it is said 24 AH, and it made peace with him for safety and immediate tribute. Then its people broke the covenant, and Abu Musa conquered it by force in the year 26 AH, with Uthman at its vanguard. 1
