Overview

Darabjird: a city in Fars. al-Baladhuri reports that it was the great fire-temple of the people of Fars, and of their religion, and that the Herbad was over it. Uthman ibn Abi al-As (may God be pleased with him) made peace with it for money, and on the condition that its people should be equal to those whose lands had been conquered. 1
