Overview

al-Buwayb: a place near the Euphrates bridge. al-Baladhuri reports that Mihran ibn Mihrbandadh was killed there in the year 14 AH. It is also reported that both its sides were filled with bones until they were level, and that dust then covered them in the time of the strife. 1

In the time of the Sasanian kings, the area between al-Sukun and Banu Sulaym was an outlet for the Euphrates, which discharged into the interior. 1

The event is recorded by a single source, so it needs an additional source.
