Summary
The ruling
Yamar ruled that Qusayy had the better right to the Ka'ba and to the affairs of Mecca. He ruled that every blood that Qusayy had shed among them was void, which he crushed under his feet. Whatever Khuza'a and Banu Bakr had suffered carried blood-money. Qusayy was to be left free to the Ka'ba. The name al-Shaddakh comes from his crushing of the bloods 1 2. See Qusayy's seizure of Mecca.
For young visitors
Yamar was a tribal judge who ruled in the great dispute over guarding the Ka'ba, and he gave it to Qusayy.
