Overview

Uzra ibn Qays ibn Ghazziyya al-Bajali, mentioned by al-Baladhuri in Futuh al-Buldan 1.

In Hulwan

al-Baladhuri reports that Jarir ibn Abd Allah made him his deputy over Hulwan when he went toward al-Dinawar and conquered Qarmasin. Then he appointed him over it again when he marched to Abu Musa al-Ash'ari in the year 19 AH 1.

He may be the same person as Uzra ibn Qays. This needs an additional source.
