Overview
Taj al-Din Abu Bakr, amir of Khwarazm Shah Muhammad ibn Takish, whom he appointed over Zuzan 2.
His rise
Ibn al-Athir reports that he began as a camel-man hiring out camels for journeys, and then became the leader of the camel-drivers. The Khwarazm Shah saw in him resolve and trustworthiness, and advanced him until he became one of the notables among his amirs 2.
His conquests
He said to the Khwarazm Shah that the lands of Kirman were next to his own country, and that he would take them if the Shah added soldiers to him. He conquered them in the shortest time, and took Makran as far as Sind. The lord of Hormuz obeyed him, and the sermon was given for the Khwarazm Shah at Qalhat and part of Oman 2.
Ibn al-Athir describes him as wise, of sound judgement, resolute and brave 2.
