Overview

Nizak Tarkhan, lord of the Turks 1.

With Yazdegerd

al-Baladhuri reports that he honoured Yazdegerd for a month and clothed him with robes of honour. Then he asked for Yazdegerd's daughter in marriage, and Yazdegerd answered: "You are only one of my slaves, so what emboldened you?" He then allied with Mahawayh to kill him, and marched with the Turks to al-Janabidh 1.
