Overview
Sultan Wahid al-Din Muhammad VI, the last sultan of the Ottoman state, who was in Istanbul under occupation after the First World War. 2
His stance on Mustafa Kemal
Al-Salabi describes him as remaining in Istanbul, submissive to the humiliation that was imposed on him during the occupation. The newspapers relayed from him a call for the blood of Mustafa Kemal to be shed and for him to be treated as a rebellious rebel, which increased people's anger at him in comparison with the struggle of Mustafa Kemal. 2
