Overview

Afif ibn Awf ibn Abbad al-Nasri, then al-Yarbu'i, was the head of the Banu Nasr ibn Mu'awiya in their war with the Ahlaf of the Thaqif. The cause of the war was that the Ahlaf protected a pasture of Jaladhan from their land. 2

Ibn al-Athir relates that on the day of Karuba he gave a cry, and they claim that seventy pregnant women among them miscarried what was in their wombs. 2

The museum's data hold nothing else about his life beyond this report; anything more needs an additional source.
