Overview

The judge Abu Ubayd Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Harb, known as Ibn Harawayh, who died in 319 AH. 2

His generation

Al-Shirazi mentions him in a generation most of whom were companions of Abu al-Abbas ibn Surayj. 2

A note on the date

The printed edition gives "seventeen", but the editor considers it a copyist's error, since al-Subki agrees with al-Shirazi on "nineteen". 2 The Gregorian date (about 932 CE) is calculated from the Hijri date.
