Overview

Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Mundhir al-Nisaburi, a jurist who died in Mecca. He wrote books on the disagreement of the scholars, which al-Shirazi says no one had written like, and both the agreeing and the disagreeing needed them. 2

Al-Shirazi says that he does not know from whom he took jurisprudence. 2

Date of death

Al-Shirazi gives his death in Mecca in 309 or 310 AH. The editor's note says that al-Subki took the date from al-Shirazi, and that al-Dhahabi said it is "nothing", because Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Ammar met him in 316 AH. The date of death is disputed and needs verification. 2
