Summary
Malik said: the practice among us is that for a head wound on a slave, a twentieth of its price; for its munqila, a tenth and a half-tenth of its price; for its ma'mumah and jaifah, a third of its price each. For any other kind of wound a slave may receive besides these four, the amount by which his price fell is judged after he recovers and is healed: how much is between his value after the wound and his sound value before it, and then the wounder pays the difference between the two values. 1
