Summary
Malik says: whoever advances payment for goods on a term, if those goods are not eaten or drunk, the buyer may sell them to whomever he wishes, for cash or goods, before receiving them, to someone other than their owner who sold them to him. He should not sell them back to the one who sold them to him, except for goods that he receives and does not delay. Malik said: if the goods are not yet due, there is no harm in selling them back to their owner for other goods of a different kind, which he receives and does not delay. 1
