Summary
Malik says: all gold, silver and food which should not be sold except equal for equal, one should not put with the good, desired kind a poor, disliked thing in order to permit the sale and make lawful what is forbidden. If the owner of the poor food wishes to sell it for something else, let him sell it on its own, not adding anything; there is no harm in that when it is so. 1
