Summary
Malik transmits from Damrah ibn Said al-Mazini, from al-Hajjaj ibn Amr ibn Ghaziyya, that he was sitting with Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him) when a man from Yemen came asking about his slave-girls. He said he did not want them to become pregnant by him, so should he practise coitus interruptus? Zayd said: give him a ruling, Hajjaj. Hajjaj said: it is your tillage; if you wish, you may water it, and if you wish, you may leave it thirsty. Zayd said: he is right. 1
