Summary
Malik says of a man who makes ila against his wife, is stopped, divorces her when the four months end, and then takes her back: if he does not have intercourse with her before her waiting period ends, he has no further claim on her and no right of return, unless he has an excuse such as illness or imprisonment, in which case his return stands. If her waiting period passes and he marries her again, and does not have intercourse with her before four months pass, he is stopped again. If he does not return, the divorce from the first ila takes effect. 1
