Summary
In 488 AH the sultan Taj al-Dawla Tutush, son of Alp Arslan the Seljuq, was killed near Rayy 1.
Context
Tutush was a brave and bold man with a wide realm. He had left to take the kingdoms of his nephew Malikshah, and was killed near Rayy. After him, his two sons took power in Aleppo and Damascus: Ridwan in Aleppo and Duqaq in Damascus 1.
