Commanders: Qarwash ibn al-Muqallad al-Uqayli
Summary
In the year 435 the Ghuzz entered Mosul. They seized the household of Qarwash ibn al-Muqallad, its amir, did damage there, and plundered more than two hundred thousand dinars from his residence. 1
The aftermath
Abu al-Barakat, stepson of Abu Ja'far al-Samnani, reached the caliph seeking support against them, and the sharif Abu al-Hasan ibn Ja'far al-Nassaba arrived fleeing. Qarwash and Dubays ibn Ali ibn Mazyad joined together to strike at the Ghuzz, and killed a great number of them. In Baghdad, the Friday sermon was delivered for the king Abu Kalijar. 2
