al-Tatabbu' li-ma fi al-Mustadrak min awham

Al-Tatabbu' li-ma fi al-Mustadrak min awham is Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi'i's set of notes on al-Hakim's [[work/al-mustadrak-ala-al-sahihayn|Mustadrak]], printed beneath the text in the Dar al-Haramayn edition under the title "Tracing al-Hakim's errors on which al-Dhahabi was silent". ²

Al-Wadi'i says that, seeing al-Hakim lax in authentication yet his book indispensable, he resolved some twenty years earlier, while at the Institute of the Meccan Haram, to note useful points from al-Munawi's Fayd al-Qadir. He then added what he found in his own research, his colleagues' research and the books of al-Albani, and allowed his colleagues to record a note each with their name beneath it. ³ Finally he read through the book and completed what he had found "in the briefest wording", as al-Dhahabi had done, without claiming to be exhaustive. ⁴
