Overview
The atabegate of Kerman, known as the Qutlughkhanids. It was founded by Barak the chamberlain, one of the commanders of the Khitan state who entered the service of Khwarazmshah Muhammad in Kerman in 619 AH. 1
With the Khwarazmians
The land remained nominally subject to the Khwarazmians in the time of Jalal al-Din Mangburni, and Barak was his deputy. Then he tried to become independent in 623 AH, and sent to the Mongols urging them to fight him. 1
Under the Ilkhans
Their state remained under the obedience of the Ilkhans, from Rukn al-Din Khuja al-Haqq to Qutb al-Din Muhammad, and then his widow Qutlugh Khatun, who ruled Kerman from 655 to 681 AH. 1
The end
Their affair died out around 703 AH. 1
